Reinhard Heydrich and Funny Nazis

Another nasty Nazi. Another peculiar life. Heydrich was the mastermind behind the Final Solution which he revealed at the famous Wannsee Conference in 1942. He was known to be cold and calculating. There was a rumour that his father was Jewish. As a child, Reihhard actually encountered some anti-Semitism. He was a womaniser and had to leave the navy in 1931aftet he was accused by a young lady of seducing her. He was already engaged to another.
He became a martyr when he was attacked on 27 May 1942 and died from his wounds on 4 June 1942.
It does seem that all of these leaders had chequered backgrounds – already I’ve written about Eichmann, Wessel and Hitler. I wasn’t intending to look into Goebbels, Goering, Himmler and Rommel but I may. Their names alone are interesting. Goering and Goebbels have “oe” where “ö” might be more German. Has Himmler anything to do with Heaven or the sky? Rommel seems the most normal name.
My mother-in-law used to do translation for the security services.  She noticed that in practically everyone in a group of German terrorists practically had peculiar surnames and they may have been ridiculed when they were children.
Maladjusted people become bullies and terrorists?
